Following the international success of “Ouvrage,” Maison Sekimoto and Parisian eyewear house Lafont renew their collaboration with a new creation: “Rio Hanabi.”
Unveiled in 2024, these sunglasses reaffirm the trust and creative synergy between two French houses of excellence.
Hand-embroidered by Satoshi Sekimoto, MOF in Haute Couture Embroidery, the design draws inspiration from the brilliance of Japanese fireworks (hanabi), bringing light and movement to the frame.
Unlike the first creation awarded at the Silmo d’Or, “Rio Hanabi” is not a limited edition: these sunglasses can be ordered on demand, making them a rare opportunity to own an accessory where Haute Couture audacity meets everyday wearability.
In black, they embody understated elegance, echoing the contemporary spirit of Maison Sekimoto × Lafont.
