Description
“Trame de vie (Life’s Weave)” is an embroidered triptych from the Pur range, where embroidery becomes architecture. Each panel unfolds as a graphic fragment — lines, rhythms, and densities conversing to create an architectonic composition. United, they reveal a weave that evokes order, vibration, and continuity.
The work resonated with a family of collectors who chose to keep the triptych whole, though each panel could have been separated. This decision emphasizes the symbolic power of the piece: preserving unity as a sign of memory and connection.
Created by Satoshi Sekimoto, MOF in Haute Couture Embroidery and Master Artisan of Art, the piece combines Lunéville hook embroidery with needlework rigor. Silk threads, beads, and sequins act as equivalents of stone and shadow, constructing a textile landscape of rare graphic intensity.
Composition: Lunéville hook and needle embroidery, glass beads, sequins, silk and cotton threads, on canvas.
