Description
“Entre fourmis et pensées (Between Ants and Pansies)” is part of the Microcosmos collection, which explores the dialogue between insects and flora. In this embroidered artwork, the discipline of ants — a symbol of collective order — contrasts with the delicacy of pansies, flowers of memory and contemplation. Together, they form a textile meditation on the coexistence of strength and fragility.
Created by Satoshi Sekimoto, MOF in Haute Couture Embroidery and Master Artisan of Art, the work combines Lunéville hook embroidery with needlework. Silk threads and glass beads convey the brightness of petals and the steady rhythm of the ants’ march.
A piece where nature becomes metaphor, elevated through Maison Sekimoto’s exceptional craftsmanship.
Composition: Lunéville hook and needle embroidery, glass beads, sequins, silk and cotton threads, on canvas.
