Lafont, Azzaro and Chantal Thomass – bold and stylish new optical and sunglass releases for 2025

Thomas Lafont, Head Designer at Maison Lafont, shares his vision for the new collection:

“Inspired by the idea of Parisian chic, the Lafont woman was the muse for this new collection. She embodies the elegance of the modern, active Parisian who gracefully balances family and career.
Every item in her wardrobe, including her eyewear, is carefully selected in a color palette that flatters her complexion and reflects her personal style.

In this collection, I wanted to offer the Lafont woman a fresh perspective. The frames feature bold, square designs that create a structured yet subtly retro look. Key styles like Radicale, Reseda, and Renoncule are set to become our new flagship models.

Classic black and brown tortoiseshell styles, enhanced with gold or silver accents, bring sophistication to the Issy & La Metal collection — offering timeless frames that pair beautifully with her look throughout the day.

The sunglasses collection completes the lineup with standout pieces like Ramatuelle, our iconic frame reimagined with a rock-chic flair.

Finally, we’re thrilled to continue our collaboration with Sekimoto, introducing the new Rio Hanabi model, which brings a playful hint of haute couture fantasy to the collection.”

Lafont, Azzaro, and Chantal Thomass – frames and sunglasses for connoisseurs of true French style

Lafont Glasses – a symbol of the French art of living

Maison Lafont celebrates its 100th anniversary and continues to surprise us with new expressions of its creativity. The new Lafont eyewear and sunglasses collection for Spring/Summer 2024 is beautiful, rich, and diverse. It combines unique historical experience with a commitment to perfection and a passion for beauty.

The Lafont 2024 collection was developed along three main directions:

  • The feminine perspective as one of the main themes;
  • Expanding the range of sunglasses with new volumes and color solutions;
  • Combining craftsmanship.

In this collection, Maison Lafont has brought together its manufacturing traditions with other equally renowned workshops, whose craftsmanship inspires and captivates the Lafont team.

The first collaboration is with the historical family business and renowned producer of exceptional fabrics – Maison Pierre Frey. Certified as a “Living Heritage Company” (EVP), Maison Pierre Frey is known for producing elite upholstery fabrics, textile wallpapers, and carpets. Both creative universes share the same values, and their stories resonate: attention to detail, a love for fine craftsmanship, and family traditions. Inspired by the artistic richness of Maison Pierre Frey, the Lafont brand has integrated their fabrics into the craft of making glasses. As a result, there are 6 unique models of sunglasses with amazing fabrics inside, symbolizing the French art of living, infused with French aesthetics and the spirit of Parisian High Fashion.

The next amazing collaboration is with Maison Sekimoto and the best master in France in Haute Couture embroidery – Satoshi Sekimoto. Together, they create a fully embroidered frame, the first of its kind. Satoshi Sekimoto trained in the finest French embroidery workshops, earned the title of “Best Craftsman of France” in the field of Haute Couture embroidery, and collaborated with major High Fashion Houses.
